About Us Fields Gate Farm is a new facility, located on 42 acres in the beautiful hills of Mulmur Township. The intial phases were built in 2007, by Heather Fields. Fields Gate Farm, is a tribute to her work and dedication, which has brought about a modern facility that offers clients and horses the best services possible. Fieds Gate farm specializes in the English disciplines of Hunters (a style taken from British/European Fox Hunting), Show Jumpers and Equitation (a precise discipline judging the technical skills of the rider). and Classic Driving Our moto, Dedicated to the Spirit of Sport... Through a Love of Horses... identifies the mix of sport and care offered by Fields Gate Farm. Our focus on sport includes a selection of sport horses for sale and show. Our competition preparation includes mental training, and physical training for our athlete riders. Along with a serious competition focus, we also have recreational programs for those who want to learn horsemanship at a more relaxed pace. Camps and working student programs give even those who have limited financial means the opportunity to ride, own, and participate in the sport of riding. We are also dedicated to fair equine treatment and rescue and take in horses who's fate would be less than desirable. We offer some of these horses for sale as we simply cannot keep every horse we meet. Every horse has a place in the world and we do what we can to make sure every horse we come in contact with gets the best life possible.
TRAINER: REBECCA HERZBERG
OUR SHOW HORSES RIEL, known to us as Louis. This beautiful 17.1 hh, Hanovarian/Throughbred cross is a typical Rio Grande gelding. He is fantastic... and knows it. A horse with spirit and ego, his floaty warmblood movement is elastic and he is very agile for a big horse. He is willing and brave and needs a rider who can communticate with him to let his true talent shine through. Louis has had very low milage and will be showing in the adult Equitation and Green Hunter Ring for 2008. OUR SECOND CHANCE HORSES
Freedom; our 15.1hh quarter horse gelding was to be sent to slaughter when we purchased him. He is the gentlest horse I have known. He desperately loves attention and offers our novice riders a safe mount. "With age comes wisdom," and Freedom knows when a rider can ask for transitions accurately. He will teach you and test you... and make sure you learn how to ride correctly and confidently. He is honest, sound and sane, making him a great match for many of our novice riders
Originally a cart pony, our cute Midnight, stands only 12.1 hands high. But don't let his small size be a measure of his heart and spirit. Midnight was cruelly abused before he came to us and he still flinches if someone raises a hand near his head. He is a willing pony and has taught many of our youngsters about the heart of a pony. While he has lovely movement Midnight is going to head our new pleasure driving team!
